Meet the Newton Wellness Center Team

Hannah Paine, Chiropractic Assistant
Introducing Hannah

Hi, my name is Hannah Paine, and I have the pleasure of being a chiropractic assistant here at Newton Wellness Center!

When I am not chatting with patients here at work, I enjoy running, dancing and hiking. Chiropractic makes my active lifestyle easier; it also helps me manage stress, maintain energy and feel great. I have been getting regular spinal exams and adjustments since I was 12 years old, and I have enjoyed the benefits every chiropractic visit since! I have had the benefit of working in the chiropractic field five years now, and I am so excited to continue here at Newton Wellness Center. Dr. Cintron is a great practitioner and a fun person to be around—this is a place you will feel excited to tell family and friends about. I hope that you get the pleasure of being a patient here, and that you allow chiropractic to help you do all the things in life that you need (or want) to do!

Introducing Christine

Christine Kraemer, Massage TherapistChristine Kraemer received her massage training from the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage, where she completed a 500-hour course in massage technique, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, hydro-therapy, and more. She also holds a PhD in Religion and Literature from Boston University and feels that her background as a teacher and writer helps her communicate effectively and compassionately with clients. She recently returned to the Boston area after a two-year stay in her hometown of Austin, Texas.

Massage Services

The health benefits of massage are numerous, and are not limited to the relaxation of particular areas of tension.

Because many of us live busy, high-stress lives, our nervous systems are almost constantly in a low-level state of "fight or flight." While the body is holding itself in readiness for action, resources are diverted from systems such as immune function and digestion -- systems that are a lower priority when there may be immediate physical danger.

By breaking this pattern of stress and encouraging a state of relaxation, massage helps the body free up resources for repair and maintenance. Massage is also indicated for anxiety and depression, the common emotional biproducts of a highly stressed body.
        • Reduce stress and anxiety
        • Relieve pain, soreness, and tension
        • Improve circulation
        • Improve posture and motor skills
        • Promote healthy muscle and connective tissue
        • Improve sleep
        • Increase body awareness
        • Support immune function

Dr. Nathan Asks some important questions of interest to Newton residents - Chiropractor Newton Dr. Nathan Asks...

Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Newton parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Newton parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
